Ugadi pachadi


Ugadi is the New year festival for the people in the states of Andhra pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka, with the beginning of the new hindu lunar calendar, mantras chanted and with the new year predictions.

On Ugadi the Ugadi Pachadi is the famous and traditional preparation which consists of the six natural tastes Sweet, Bitter, Sour, Spicy, Tangy and salty which symbolizes that the human life is the combination of different varieties of happy, sad, anger, fear, surprise and disgust. Hence the Ugadi festival brings the human life with the great beginning for the better future.

Ugadi pachadi Preparation:

The Ugadi pachadi is prepared in various places in different ways but the mixture consists of the same six flavoured ingredients of nature, as follows

mango pieces
1.Mango Pieces
jaggery
2. Jaggery



neem flower
3. Neem flowers

tamarind
4. Tamarind
Keep ready all the above items and soak the tamarind in water for some time and then make the pulp out of it and then add the neem flower petals, jaggery , salt, mirch powder, chana dal, coconut pieces, banana pieces, sugarcane pieces and mango pieces to the tamarind pulp and mix thoroughly then the natural flavour of the Ugadi pachadi is ready to eat.
